September 2016 Tibet Pilgrimage Now Open

This pilgrimage will travel to two of the most sacred sites of Yeshe Tsogyal, disciple and consort of Guru Rinpoche-Padmasambhava: Tsogyal Latso (her birthplace) and Zabbulung (where she attained enlightenment's rainbow body). Other destinations include the holy city of Lhasa and its most important temples; Samye Temples and the Chimphu Hermitages, the heart of Buddhism that has survived the upheavals of Tibetan history; Drak Yongdzong or Dzong Kumbum (Guru Rinpoche cave hermitages extraordinaire) and Namtso Sky Lake, bordered by the snowy peaks of the protector of Tibet, Nyenchen Thanglha.

Along the way, the scenery will be breathtaking—driving through the Kyichu Valley, along the north and south shores of the magical Tsangpo-Brahmaputra River (highest river in the world), into the hidden valley of Zabbulung (especially blessed by Guru Rinpoche), over high mountain passes, geothermal springs, and vast grasslands and valleys!

The pilgrimage is 17 days in Tibet (8 hotel nights and 8 camping nights). In Lhasa, we'll be staying at the most delightful and top-of-the-line Kyichu hotel with cafe, great food, and Internet, a mere ten-minute walk from the Jokhang Temple.

The pilgrimage will be guided by Lama Dechen Yeshe Wangmo and Dechen Steele. While at Tsogyal Latso, we will offer Jnanasukha's annual dana to the nuns for their livelihood and the completion of the new temple.
